The Sabancı University Rocket Team (SUROC) represented Sabancı University at EXPO3D Istanbul—the Additive Manufacturing, Design, and Production Technologies Fair—held at the Istanbul Expo Center on September 17–19, 2026, by showcasing their GÖKSU rocket.
EXPO3D Istanbul brought together industry professionals, technology developers, and companies from Türkiye and around the world in the fields of additive manufacturing, 3D printing, advanced materials, design, and production technologies, showcasing current work and applications in advanced manufacturing technologies. The fair provided an opportunity to closely examine new technologies and industry developments alongside international participants.
At the SUROC booth, the GÖKSU rocket was presented to visitors, and information was shared regarding the rocket's design and manufacturing processes, composite structures, avionics systems, and the engineering work carried out by the team. Throughout the fair, meetings were held with companies and professionals from various sectors to establish new connections and evaluate potential collaborations.
At the conclusion of the fair, SUROC was presented with a plaque by EXPO3D Istanbul in recognition of their participation and contributions. EXPO3D Istanbul marked another milestone in Sabancı University’s representation on international technology and engineering platforms.
